Is-sinjal għal PATATA L-FORN għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal PATATA. Id waħda tieqaf forma ta’ 5 bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ A jew ta’ T, bis-saba’ l-kbir maħruġ u bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb. L-id tixxengel ’il ġewwa u ’l barra maġenb l-id il-wieqfa. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal FORN biż-żewġ idejn livell tal-qadd jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-idejn jimxu ’il quddiem.
The sign for ROAST POTATOES has two parts. (i) First the sign for POTATO is made. One hand is held stationary in the shape of 5 with palm facing upwards. The other hand takes the shape of A or of T, with extended thumb and with the palm facing the side. The hand sways inwards and outwards beside the stationary hand. (ii) The sign for OVEN is then made with both hands at waist level. The hands take the shape of 5 with palms facing forward and move forward.
